Wedding Day

~This is a painting I did for my daughter and son-in-law for their wedding that took place at Cooper's Rock State Park in West Virginia. I completed the painting before the wedding so that I could give it to the bride and groom on their actual wedding day. I imagined a beautiful blue sky with abundant sunshine! And that is what we had... at the beginning of the ceremony. But alas, before the "I do's", a little cloud drew closer and closer, and got bigger and bigger, and darker and darker! Before the wedding party knew it, we were drenched in sheets of rain! Quite memorable to say the least! Inspite of the rain, it was an absolutely beautiful day filled with family, friends, and promises of a love and faith.
